Send to @username
With version 2.5.0 you can now send funds to @usernames.[1] Buy a username from the Username registration bot in your wallet's Bot Store. All proceeds go to the Obyte community fund to help fund the development and promotion of the platform. Prices are:
- Username of 5 characters: 10 GB
- Username of 6 characters: 3 GB
- Username of 7+ characters: 1 GB
Don't lose it!
Be careful with your registered address. You are coupling your @username to a single wallet address, which you will not be able to change. One registered address per username. So if you delete the wallet/address without backup, you've lost both the address and the ability to link that username to any Obyte address.
Attestation
The final part of the registration, after paying the required fee from the designated single-address wallet, is an attestation by the bot recording the registered address/username in the DAG.
